It's inevitible that our kids will do something that will shock us. They will confess something big or we will discover something that's been hidden. We won't see it coming. We couldn't. But that means we may not handle it well and could react poorly. But that has devastating effects, not just for the immediate situation, but for communication going forward. So how can we handle things differently? How can we be ready for something we that we can't anticipate? What can we do now so that we can be an unshockable parent?
